PLEASE HELP Charlotte

Dear friends and family...
Most of you know that I have been volunteering with Rocket Dog Rescue (www.rocketdogrescue.org) and fostering rescue dogs until they find their permanent homes. RDR is a completely volunteer run organization, with no offices or administration. They are contacted when a dog is going to be killed or needs to be rescued.

2 days ago, I picked up Charlotte... She is an 8 week old puppy, papa was a bloodhound and mama was a petite pit mix. She was part of a litter of 8, but 4 of her sibs died from malnutrition. They were not taken care of or loved. Her belly was swollen from starvation and from worms. She ate as though she hadn't eaten in days, but she was also starving for love and affection. She loves giving kisses, and if she could, she would live in your neck!! Its clear she isn't used to love, when I reach for her, she initially cowers, nervous. But she has quickly blossomed and wants to be near people at all times, she is full of joy and sweetness and love.

This morning, Charlotte began vomiting, and couldn't stop. She was lethargic and would not eat or drink. I took her to emergency, and she has PARVO, a serious and potentially deadly virus. She needs treatment in order to stay alive: inpatient hospital stay, IV fluids and IV bacteria. The total estimate is approximately $3,000.

RDR is committed to saving her life, but they are non-profit and exist completely on donations, there is simply not enough funds to pay for her treatment. Please make a monetary donation to help save her life. Anything you can give would be helpful. You can go through paypal on their website (www.rocketdogrescue.org) or even call and pay the hospital directly, www.allanimalsemergency.com, 415-566-0531. Her name is Charlotte. She will be released from the emergency hospital on Monday at 8am, and we need to have the money to pay for this... please help as soon as possible...
