Urban Sanctuary Project
Rocket Dog Rescue is getting closer to our goal of purchasing and converting
a warehouse in San Francisco into a fully functioning Urban Sanctuary for
dogs. Since our inception in 2001, Rocket Dog has saved over 900 dogs
from euthanasia in overcrowded bay area shelters. We’ve done all of this
without our own facility, relying instead on dedicated foster homes.
With a location to safely house dogs, we’ll be able to significantly increase
the number of dogs rescued each year.
The sanctuary will also act as a community center that will hold classes, art shows and other fun and educational events. We’re currently scouting locations to make this dream a reality, so if you know of space that Rocket Dog could occupy, lease let us know!
