chili

Chili is a just shy of 3 year old pit-mix who is personable, loveable and handsome who was a Rocket Rescue Dog who had a dream life with a woman who loved him and her work schedule allowed her to spend lots of time with him. He did sleep on her bed but has a crate and will sleep in it if you are a "no dogs on the furniture" person. He had an extended family and just about the best life a dog could ask for but his owner had an aneurism and is in a coma with a dire prognosis. He is very fun loving and thrives on attention, he's not shy and actually seems to fully expect to be loved. He had a very loving foster mother before my friend adopted him and his extended family has been taking care of him. I would love to adopt him myself but it's not a possibility. He loves to chase balls, he's got the large sized ones and he chews on them for as long as you let him. He had obedience training with his owner and she worked with him all the time but he's a bit hyper with his owner gone and so some of the good seems to have worn off with the rotation of friends helping out. He's 68 lbs of solid muscle and his two best friends are Luna (another pit) and Stella (a great dane). He's neutered, up on shots and everything else under the sun. He loves to love and be loved and I'm absolutely certain that a new bond would be easily formed. I'm guessing he's a better "best friend" than "family dog" material but perhaps that's just how I'm used to seeing him. Email pali@rocketdogrescue.org if you're interested in this very handsome boy.
