Elisa

Elisa is approximately 3 years old and was rescued from Death Row at a high kill shelter. She weighs about 70 pounds, and is a shepherd,-Rottweiler-kelpie mix.

Elisa has a strong personality, is extremely loyal, friendly, active and playful. She LOVES her toys, so her new home has to PROMISE to provide them! She will entertain herself for HOURS with just the right toy, but what she likes best is playing with other dogs or even an available human. Elisa truly enjoys the company of other dogs and plays hard so she will need supervision, especially with brand new doggie friends. Her favorite games are chase and keep-away, and she is very good when it comes to sharing toys with other dogs (her dog roommates will vouch for this!) Its possible Elisa could live with a cat, as long as she believed the cat “belongs” to her (she is excited by outdoor stranger cats on her walks, but might be able to bond to an indoor kitty in her new home.)

Elisa is sensitive and attentive. She bonds easily with her human. She will succeed in a home where she will get the appropriate amount of exercise (the more, the better!) Occasionally she will issue a loud bark which can be intimidating at first, but once she is reassured by her person she stops right away.
