hotcakes

Hot-cakes (short-stack) is just about the coolest girl you could ever want to meet. She stomps around with her big ol paws (they are not really all that big, but her legs are tiny and short). Hotcakes Short stack is a long name but she lives up to every bit of it!

Hotcakes is a sweet and yummy treat that is ready to fill your life with warmth and happiness. what a crazy-looking-silly-sweet dog she is. She is estimated by the shelter to be around 5 years old, personally, i think she is younger. so we will say from 3-5 years. does that seem fair?

Hotcakes is a grey with white bully breed female, possibly mixed with a basset hound? Thats what her body looks like anyway. She is about 40-45 pounds of pure cuteness!

She wants to be right near you, like right now she is laying quietly at my feet while I am typing this. But she also does not seem to be overly needy. She seems pretty mellow when I leave her alone. She is devoted and wants to be near you, helping out.

Sadly, when we met her in the shelter it was apparent that Hotcakes had just been nursing puppies, and it seems as if they may have been too young to be taken from her. Yet, someone did. This poor girl. she seemed a little lost, bewildered. But she is also able to happily accept love and lights up completely when she gets attention.

She is a gorgeous dog - her eyes are so beautiful. She has a soft face and adorable long body.(She is so much cuter in real life than these photos show, these were taken while she was still at the shelter and afraid.)

She seems to be ok around other dogs, offering a quick wag of the tail. She will avoid the dog if they are too rough. at least that is what I have seen so far.
She did well with her dog to dog test at the shelter and romped a little with a dog at my house..but gets a bit nervous if the other dog get too excited (he started to bark loudly and hotcakes got nervous.). I think that she may like to be an only dog and just have a few best friend dogs that she visits with. or be in a home with a mellow male.

Ok, can you tell that I love this dog? yep. its true. there are few that I have loved from the minute that i met them, hotcakes in one of the few.
