Leave No Dog Behind. Make a difference in a dog's live. Adopt. Foster. Give. Rock on.

leon

This strapping, young guy is handsome, active, confident, and even cuddly. If he were a person, I think he’d end up being a quarterback or pitcher, excelling with his physical prowess, charming the ladies, and getting the smart ones to do his homework. Yes, Leon knows how to get what he wants, and while his cuteness is irresistible, he’ll do best in a home with a natural born leader who isn’t swayed by his pushiness or his good looks. We’ll be looking for Leon’s new home to have had dogs before, and to understand what a dog really needs: exercise, discipline, and love!

Leon loves food, treats, bones, chewing on his toys, destroying poufy toys, running full speed ahead, and getting a lot of attention. And this guy really does have some physical strength— he can jump over 8 feet! Leon really likes people, and he loves loves! I tell you being including in everything. He does wonderfully in the car, loved his trip to the beach, thoroughly enjoyed curling up on the couch with me when it was movie time, and woke up early, raring to go for the next day. What are we doing today? Wake up! What are we doing, what are we doing?

As much as Leon loves people, he knows a pushover when he sees one, so we want to make sure he goes to someone who is a natural leader: confident, and full of calm-assertiveness. His new home will also need to continue his training so that he can become the great dog he was meant to be. He really needs a home that will make sure he’s physically and mentally active. Leon likes learning new tricks about as much as he loves to run or go hiking. And at the end of the day, he loves to curl up on his bed (or when he was at my house— my down-comforter— the guy has a thing for cushy).

Leon is almost two years old, is neutered, and up to date on all of his shots. For now, he is in Petaluma. For more information, contact Janet at janet@azayaranchsanctuary.org.
